Alright guys, I'm giving you one last week to keep on moving ahead of me, and then I'll come and catch you (well, at least the 3 ahead of me)...

I think I'll easily finish ahead of Brockster and SS. I'll need to squeeze out another $50M from Kong and Power Rangers, and the dregs of April to beat out Geezer to stay in Division A.

If I can survive the awful year I've had this season, I should cement my place in A for life

You may not have to, Banks.

With Geezer being MIA for most of the last few months, and with his refusal to answer any of my emails, I have to entertain the very real possibility that he will not be back for the draft set to commence at the very end of this month.

The same thing, if you'll recall, happened last year, when empire pulled out and JAS graciously jumped in to keep our numbers even at ten per division. Super Leagues B.O. player DDR has agreed to take Geezer's place should Geez not return.

If Geezer does NOT return, DDR will join the game in Division B and pick 10th (like JAS did this season). As far as how that impacts Division A, only the bottom two finishers will be demoted to Division B. Those two, plus Geezer, will be replaced by the Top 3 finishers of Division B.

Everyone here is anticipating the next draft while I'm here freaking out while building my sheet... as I realize how near-impossible it'll be to beat Star Wars from whatever draft spot I get without risking getting myself demoted.

Don't assume anything. I took Star Wars (after seriously considering taking Fantastic Beasts) and I'm still not even going to finish in the Top 5. Yes, picking Star Wars first is the smartest option, but realize that whoever picks it won't get to choose again until #20/#21. You just never know.

Yeah, drafting strong films in the middle of the draft is just as important as getting the right one in the first round. It's great to have Star Wars, but it's possible to be competitive without it if you draft smartly.

Oh I know... but I think the difference between starting #1/#20 vs. #10/#11 this year will be a difference of around $500M. That's not an easy thing to make up unless the person with Star Wars decides to load their slate with video game adaptations ;)

Also, I can't see Episode 8 hitting $900M domestic like TFA did. That was a decade of no new Star Wars movies, pent-up.

With one every year for the next 1500 years, they should start to settle right around where Rogue One ended up, $500M-$600M. Still the easy #1 of every year, especially the numbered installments, but the gap won't be ridic like 2015.

I'm feeling the same way. Star Wars should always be the top choice until proven otherwise, but I don't think the mountain the rest of the gang will have to climb will be as bad as Episode 7. Looking ahead, though, I see a down year. Seems like a lot of over-sequels with the only one I think really performing as well as its predecessor is Guardians. After that - I see a lot of 250 million potential movies, but most of those have kind of a blah factor to them as well. Will we really fall for another Transformers/Pirates/Minions movie again? Geez, I hope not.

I will... well for one of those. However, not sure if i'd pick it first round. I'm excited to get started either way.

on another of those three, Michael bay said yesterday that there are 14 Transformers stories in development. if that means 14 eventual movies, who knows.

The Force Awakens was adored by most, and rewatched again and again. The same people will return, so hitting 900 again isn't out of the question. Plus, fans will go to say farewell to Princess Leia.

This, I don't think it'll hit $900M. but it should easily surpass Titanic. and probably Avatar too.
