Your idea is interesting John, although honestly I don't mind seeing a player getting an uncatchable boost by a film bigger than huge at the BO, like Star Wars or Jurassic World this year. It is after all the beauty of the unpredictability of the game. I wouldn't be opposed to establishing a rule such as the one you suggest, because obviously it would make the fight for 1st place more affordable, but I'm fine without it.
