That sounds like a good double bill.

Wait, the first one's a Jeebus movie. Never mind.

All those stories on Deadline are troubling, even though I haven't had time to read them in any detail, but I don't see anything better on the waiver wire either. If Relativity gets their house in order, or auctions off those titles to another mini-major, Kidnap and The Disappointments Room should both be good for an easy 30-50 million.
Here's another red flag. In April they moved Before I Wake into The Disappointment Room's September 25th slot. They moved Masterminds to October 9th... that's Kidnap's slot. There's no way in hell they're going to release 4 of their own films on the same 2 days but there they are, just sitting there.
I hear ya, but if they have any sense at all they'll shelve the Kate Bosworth movie and put all their resources into the Kate Beckinsale/DJ Caruso movie. As for Kidnap, there's always room for a thriller targeting black audiences, so if Relativity doesn't have the money to release it in the fall, maybe Screen Gems will acquire it and movie it to the spring.

But I'll change my tune tomorrow if something with better prospects becomes avaiable on the waiver wire. Right now, I'm not seeing any better options.

Fifty Shades of Black is January 29, 2016, Mother's Day is April 29, 2016 (so you're hoping it gets moved up to get more than an OW in that case).

Sigh. Bad Moms just got pulled off the calendar and given that Apatow and Mann bailed earlier due to concerns about the tight schedule, it's probably getting delayed.

I'll dump it and pick up Amityville: The Reawakening. Gross. I don't even know what I'll do if (when) Silence doesn't get a 2015 date.

Still desperately hoping Silence will make it for 2015. Paramount are still shy on any award contenders this year, so they will be pushing Scorsese (as much as anyone can push Scorsese) to deliver for Xmas.

It only cost me a 13th rounder so it was a high upside, low risk gamble. I'm just running out of alternatives... I've already grabbed two turds off waivers that may not combine for a 50% RT score and I still have Silence and an Untitled Horror movie that I may need to replace. I wish Scorsese didn't work at a turtle's pace.

At least these problems are happening at the back end of my slate so far (knock on wood).

I think there are still a few awards hopeful that should get a distrib and release date soon enough. Sure they won't be surefire hits, but they could still perform well for emergency cases.
