The general public had never heard of Amy Schumer until Judd Apatow got involved with Trainwreck. In fact, many people are still unaware of her. No one knows who Melissa Rauch is and it's bizarre that Relativity wants to go wide with an even more unnecessary vanity project from a producing team that's never had mainstream success (the Duplass Brothers).

Apatow has literally nothing to do with the rise of Amy Schumer. People took notice of her a few years back after The Charlie Sheen Roast and her standup special Mostly Sex Stuff and she became the breakout comedy star of 2014 after the insanely well-received second season of her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer. In other words, she's been on the national radar for years now and her stock is only growing by the day. If anything Schumer is going to revitalize Apatow's career with Trainwreck.

I'm gonna guess though that Silence is gonna be more sprawling than Wolf. On the paper it looks like it. But who knows
