She's Funny that Way up on the wire
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
I'll make a claim for She's Funny That Way to replace Rock the Kasbah
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
I guess I have to drop In The Heart Of The Sea for Age Of Adaline. Talk about a last-minute, 70 million kick in the nuts.
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
Looks like Paranormal Activity got pushed...so I'll have to drop that and pick up Serena
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
Done, and I'm dropping Demonic and picking up Woman in Gold
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
I guess I have to drop Hillsong for Ex-Machina before the cupboard is completely bare.
I hate the fact that date changes have left me with so many April films. That's cutting it awfully close to the wire.

Can I switch my pick from Danny Collins to Do You Believe? If yes, then I will put in a claim for it.

Cool, you've officially made your bid...
Re: 2014-15 Division B Waiver Wire - USE THIS ONE
Would like to make two claims. Neither film is on the first post list, so not sure how exactly this will work.
Pick up:
Map to the Stars
Home Sweet Hell
Drop:
Shaun the Sheep
Underdogs

Home Sweet Hell probably won't report. The last Sony/Vertical title (Predestination) didn't report box office as it was a day-and-date run being done to meet SAG requirements.

Curious where you find info like that, or is it just a good hunch?Buscemi wrote:Home Sweet Hell probably won't report. The last Sony/Vertical title (Predestination) didn't report box office as it was a day-and-date run being done to meet SAG requirements.

Some studios choose not to report day-and-date titles (Lionsgate doesn't unless it's a Roadside Attractions title as that is a joint venture). Sony didn't with Predestination (which was licensed to Vertical, who never reports box office). Home Sweet Hell is part of the Sony/Vertical arrangement (another movie, To Write Love on Her Arms, is part of this arrangement but will only have a few scattered one-night-only screenings before its DVD/VOD debut).
Though The Interview reported box office, that was because Sony distributed themselves.
As for SAG requirements, regulations usually state a one-week run be done before hitting home video/VOD/cable. Unlike Oscar qualifying, such runs can be done anywhere in the US. Though there are some films are able to get around this (mainly independent and non-guild titles), it's usually the norm.
