Home is off to a great start, and Cinderella isn't holding like I was worried it might, which should help make this last month a bit more interesting.

I still have a lot of catching up to do, and Walleye still has Focus and 2nd Best picking up a million here and there, but Home is the only kiddie flick on the market in April, so it may hold like a monster and give me a shot, and if I can squeeze a $15 million OW out of Age Of Adaline, who knows? And then of course there's FF7 which will shake things up quite a bit.

I really regret dumping Top Five on the waiver wire now. It's $25 million was nothing special, but still a lot better than what I'm going to get out of Ex-Machina or True Story. That was a really stupid move. Especially if I lose by less than $25 million.

Yes, I'm seriously worried. Had no expectations that Home would do this well at all. It's going to be much closer, which is more fun I suppose :)

Whoa! I thought I'd still be behind by a lot more than $20 million when Cinderella's mid-week numbers were factored in. I like my chances a lot better now. Walleye, I'm coming for ya!

Furious Seven made 14 million on Monday. 14 million! This race is going to get all kinds of interesting. Looks like I'm definitely going to be on the outside looking in.

Holy SHIT, this is close.

STANDINGS (Week 50/52)

1. Buscemi, $1,077,548,665 (4 movies - The Theory of Everything, Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb, American Sniper, Black or White; 12 finished)
2. JohnErle, $1,060,168,408 (5 movies - Wild, Into the Woods, SpongeBob: Sponge Out of Water, Home, Ex-Machina; 8 finished)
3. Spectre - $1,045,279,537 (2 movies - Big Hero 6, Unfinished Business; 11 finished)
4. Walleye, $1,041,086,228 (6 movies - Selma, Still Alice, The DUFF, Focus, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Cinderella; 10 finished)
5. Brockster, $1,016,884,889 (5 movies - The Imitation Game, Paddington, The Lazarus Effect, Serena, Furious 7; 11 finished)
6. weissac, $973,762,954 (1 movie - Fifty Shades of Grey; 14 finished)
7. Shrykespeare, $886,026,590 (5 movies - Strange Magic, Jupiter Ascending, Run All Night, Do You Believe?, Get Hard; 9 finished)
8. Ron Burgundy, $863,170,734 (3 movies - Birdman, Chappie, The Gunman; 12 finished)
9. numbersix, $814,813,573
(6 movies - Penguins of Madagascar, Kingsman: The Secret Service, McFarland USA, While We're Young, Woman in Gold; 8 finished)
10. leestu, $797,417,710 (1 movie - The Divergent Series: Insurgent; 13 finished)

The following films would now appear to be done:

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (JohnErle)
The Wedding Ringer (Walleye)

4/17:
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (Spectre)
Unfriended (Spectre)
Child 44 (leestu)
Monkey Kingdom (Shrykespeare)
True Story (JohnErle)

4/24:
Age of Adaline (JohnErle)
Little Boy (Shrykespeare)

So who's going to win?

At this point, I have to believe it's going to be Brockster or Spectre. With still little competition, I figure Brockster can wring close to another $100M out of Furious 7, which would put him over $1.1B. JohnErle may have just enough to get to $1B even. Buscemi and Walleye are pretty much out of gas, so they'll finish 4-5. That just leaves Spectre, is the wild card. If he can pull $80M or more out of Longest Ride, Paul Blart and Unfriended in the season's final ten days, he could scoot to a narrow victory. My God, this is exciting!

Never would have guessed this for a finish. Sucks to be on the outside of it, but it's fun to watch. I thought Cindy was going to bring me to victory. 180 million and I'm still falling short. Well played all. Guess we can't really start our draft till we see this play out as well.

And A24 just announced that Ex-Machina is going nationwide on April 24th, making that final weekend even more important for me. It's not likely to earn more than $5 million, but that could make a difference in the standings. It should be a fun finish.

It figures that my whole draft is going to come down to Paul Blart and a waiver pickup haha. At least it looks like I'm relatively safe within the Top 3 so it's all gravy from here. This is going to be a wild finish!
