No idea how I wrangled the first pick, but okay. In my humble opinion, the person picking second has their pick handed to them by the player picking first. Not sure I wouldn't like picking 2nd better.

If you don't want to pick 1st you can always trade it... I'd be more than willing to discuss terms.empire13 wrote:No idea how I wrangled the first pick, but okay. Simple. Of the seven players in Division A NOT to be demoted, as well as the three players to be promoted from Division B, you will have the lowest dollar total. You will finish in 7th place in Div. A. #8-10 will go to Div. B.empire13 wrote:No idea how I wrangled the first pick, but okay. In my humble opinion, the person picking second has their pick handed to them by the player picking first. I think it is funny that Surfer and UDM (and to a lesser extent, W) were picked by many to have the best slates immediately following the draft, and now look where they are!
Have fun down there, buddy. Unfortunately Empire and myself won't be joining yousilversurfer19 wrote: If we want to slate bash though, I'd say I'd be most worried about Geezer and empire's slates. Division B beckons!! [wink].

Oh, yeah. You get The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Poor you.empire13 wrote:

Reminds me of the time I had the #1 pick and PASSED on The Avengers. I got to pick first last year, and I finished in seventh place in my division. But because of how it turned out, I get to pick SEVENTH. I won't be getting Avengers, Star Wars, Hunger Games, Minions, or Bat/Super.
Suck it up, Gladys.

You won't be getting the first 3 but I think it'll be very interesting how the rest of the 1st round shakes out. There's quite a few different arguments that could be made.Shrykespeare wrote:Reminds me of the time I had the #1 pick and PASSED on The Avengers. If I do pick 5th, they'll be a lot of back and forth over what to pick at that point.

Yeah I'm really curious to see what people do. After the obvious Top 3, I can make an argument for or against any of my next 7 to go anywhere from #4 to #10. All depends on the drafter I think.BanksIsDaFuture wrote:If I do pick 5th, they'll be a lot of back and forth over what to pick at that point.

Re: 2014-15 Full Year Slates (Division A)
I hate my #10 spot (I don't complain though, I'm glad to pick last). I'm gonna count on someone doing the wrong choice ahead of me because I feel like that are 8 or 9 films obvious for #1 pick. Will see. picking two in a row will be interesting though.

Re: 2014-15 Full Year Slates (Division A)
I'm picking Ninth in the B draft, and after doing my list yesterday, I think I've got a shot at a $200 million film there for sure. And the 12th pick will be pretty good too, I'm guessing $180 million, with breakout potential.
Re: 2014-15 Full Year Slates (Division A)
The most difficult choices will be 1st and 3rd. Whoever picks 1st has to choose between this generation's Start Wars and, well, Star Wars. There could be no difference between them, or there could be 200m difference.
Then from what I see whoever picks 3rd has to choose between DC's venture into a cinematic universe (despite the mixed reaction to the teaser) and the final part of a YA franchise (when the penultimate one disappointed slightly).
First World Problems, eh?
