JohnErle left me a list earlier for his last pick and so his next pick is The Drop.

Maybe I shouldn't say anything, but by my account, with just under two rounds left to go, there are still six films that are listed in bold (wide release) on BOM that still haven't been chosen:

Addicted
Blackbird
Jessabelle
Laggies
Monkey Kingdom
Wish I Was Here
Happy 60th birthday Jet Li! (4/26/23)

And then I'll take Knight of Cups. Malick, Bale, Portman. 'Nuff said.

Love to get your opinions on that...
Definitely like the thought behind Knight of Cups but I decided not to take it earlier because I'm not sure it makes it onto the calendar any time soon. Nothing I was able to read gave me much confidence.
My thinking as well. Malick is so unpredictable I think the movie will be fascinating, I just don't know when we'll see it.

And as for my pick, I think I'll take a shot with The Homesman. Stellar cast, so I hope it makes a good Oscar run.

I was going to take Trash and hope Daldry kept his streak alive but since I got sniped by a few picks, I'll pull a 180 and go with the pick I wanted to save for the last round: Left Behind. Back in the day the books were as popular as anything and just because the first one bombed doesn't mean this one is doomed. They're already looking ahead to a sequel so clearly they have some level of confidence this time and the Christian movie phenomenon is still at fever pitch. I don't think fare like God's Not Dead or Son of God would've done anything as a straight-to-DVD movie in 2000 either.

I'm going to take a late round gamble on Rosewater having a release date in this cycle.

Didn't Boosh take Jessabelle? He has a movie listed as "Annabelle" taken quite early...is that a mistake and should be Jessabelle?

Two different movies, one released at the end of Summer, one in October.

Brockster, Annabelle is about the doll at the beginning of The Conjuring. Jessabelle is a haunted house movie with awful Southern accents.

Did anyone get Brockster's next picks?

Also Ron, you took the scheduled Blackbird, right? I was asked about the two different films called Blackbird and their differences earlier (there's also an undated Blackbird directed by David Mamet).

Surprisingly, there are several movies still on the table that I was considering for the final rounds, so my last pick isn't going to be as easy as I thought it would be.
