I sent an e-mail to Brockster. Of course, the good news for him is that if he misses his 12 hour window, he gets another 12 hrs because he gets the next pick after that.

oh please. him showing up as a dragon with a voice that's been completely altered is totally going to affect people's decisions of wether or not they are going to go see the movie.

Godzilla is a little risky, but there's no way it does less than 200 million. And I think the ceiling is higher than Spiderman. X-men should be great and might have been the safer pick, but I think last year proved that safe didn't always pan out as planned. Guess I'll find out in 3 weeks either way.

And I like Interstellar. Nolan's track record speaks for itself until proven otherwise.

But plenty of the film's target audience knew he had a role in the film (and it was more than a voiceover role, as he actually did film scenes with the cast). But what I mean is that I feel that Cumberbatch's obsessive fanbase (which overhypes him to be a better actor than he really is) seems to make the general public avoid his films (The Fifth Estate) or have a dampened interest in them (notice how both Star Trek Into Darkness and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug made less than their predecessors while 12 Years a Slave and August: Osage County performed in a way that didn't meet their high expectations). And Guillermo del Toro seems to have taken notice of this, as he recast Cumberbatch with Tom Hiddleston on Crimson Peak.

Go beat a dead horse somewhere else. This thread is for drafting.

You're still mad about The Fifth Estate, I see.

I sent Brockster another e-mail. I'm inclined to give him extra time, simply because it's his first time drafting in this league, it's his first pick, and he's got two picks to make. Hopefully he'll fall in line once he gets started.

I will go with Maleficent for my first pick, then kick off the next round with Fast and Furious 7 (this goes through April 2015, correct?)

Yup, end of April, so FF7 is a valid pick.

Nope. Just bored to death with you using any excuse to whip out one of your golden oldie rants we've all heard 10,000 times before. You'd have gotten a similar response if you'd been cluttering up this thread with an off-topic, redundant rant about Jennifer Lawrence, David O'Russell, Marvel, or any of your other go-to topics we're all sick of hearing about.

Through the final Sunday in April. At that point we name the winners and set up the next draft.
