Seems like I got Jackass: Bad Grandpa pretty easily. I mean, a sequel to any movie that grossed over $100M seems like it'll do just fine. Even if it ends up in the case of This is 40/Knocked Up where the kind-of sequel only made half of the original....that's still a nice $50M waiver wire pick up.

I'll drop Animal Rescue for it.

It's a sketch that worked at five minutes but I can't see it keeping the interest of the audience for 90 minutes. Also, it's a Jackass movie without the stunts. The main reason why the films were hits were because audiences wanted to see the cast escalate the risks.

In short, I expect an okay opening but a quick drop (meanwhile, I have to wonder why Paramount didn't place The Oxnard Tapes at October 25th).

Yeah, I'm hoping the Bad Grandpa stuff is just spotlighted, and not literally the entire movie. I can't see them doing 90 minutes of just one sketch - I'm positive they'll still be stunts.

And speaking of The Oxnard Tapes, I'm surprised nobody picked it up when it just got dated in January. It's a crowded two weekends in a row for horror, but I'm guessing most Spanish people will flock to Oxnard over the other two. Should be good for at least $20M.
