Full Year Draft League Standings/Slates

Post by BanksIsDaFuture »

OOT = Out Of Theaters. That's just so I know not to look these up next month, or maybe I'll do it bi-monthly.

If the calculations are a little off from yours, its probably because we are using different numbers. I used the last weekend actuals and you may have went to the BOMOJO page of your film which would have it updated later. Both are correct, except in Donte's case because I think he added wrong.

Everything above the line is locked and can't be dropped or traded. Everything below the line you can do whatever you want with.

Those are the latest standings from W. Everyone should post their own slates and do their updates at least once a month so W doesn't have to do everything.

Re: Full Year Draft League Standings/Slates

Post by W »

Just a quick observation before the standings (okay, two...). First many people should probably replace some of their films considering many of those on your slates may not (and in some cases WILL not) get released.

Secondly, The Hangover grossed over $109,000 in its 23rd weekend (6% drop in 2/3 of the theaters as last week)... Shaan made $2 M off this film in its fifth month... Why release DvDs? Keep it in theaters for years with that kind of gross.

Total Standings
1 Barca $516,883,703
2 W $642,431,642
3 Keyser $642,219,965
4 Shaan $410,327,333
5 Tranny $410,228,317
6 UDM $389,678,798
7 J-Man $370,179,626
8 Pack $361,237,705
9 Donte $355,170,806
10 Buscemi $303,730,973
11 JackO $222,392,946
12 Banks $188,176,422
13 Ozzy $156,822,322
14 Leestu $95,273,782
15 Razgriz $73,309,427
16 Surfer $22,392,992

By Per Film Average (These count for nothing at the end of the game, but helps you see where you fit in if you only have a few films out)

1 Shaan $205,163,667
2 Keyser $91,745,709
3 W $80,303,955

You may want to add the Janky Promoters numbers on Tranny's slate: $9,069, out of theatres.

The people who had Dread and Leaves Of Grass may want to drop them. Dread is running at After Dark's Horrorfest 4 so it will not get its own box office numbers. Meanwhile, Leaves Of Grass is going straight to DVD due to the lack of interest from a theatrical distributor.

There's a ton of slates that really need to drop some titles. It's getting pretty late to try and see if they're coming out or not... The #s are as of the last weekend in 2009. Averages are becoming meaningless as that's not what we're going for, so this will be the last time you see them.

Movies That Should Be Removed From The Slates:

Margaret (no shot of this one getting a release date)
Vanilla Gorilla (no release date and likely a straight to video release)
Takers (no longer in the timeframe)
Hoodwinked 2 (no release date)
Tree Of Life (probably won't be out until this summer)
Let Me In (won't be out until this fall)
How Do You Know (opens in Christmas 2010)
Young Americans (no shot of a release date any time soon)
All Good Things (this is going straight-to-DVD)
The Cabin In The Woods (opening in 2011)
The Fighter (will probably be a Christmas 2010 opener)
Mary, Mother Of Christ (this looks like it's been shelved due to MGM's financial state)
Night Of The Demons (this will probably be going straight-to-DVD at this point)
Agora (still no distributor on this one)
Hurricane Season (this went straight-to-DVD, Blockbuster has it)
Dread (After Dark picked it up for Horrorfest, so it will not get any box office numbers of its own)
The Wheelman (2011 release)
The Three Stooges (in development hell)
Leaves Of Grass (straight-to-DVD)

At this point W, just remove these titles.
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.
