I knew Transformers and HP would go 1-2. Those two franchises have been duking it out for years (with the former winning the US box office and the latter winning abroad).

And yet I chose to take Transformers at the last moment, Shryke. I was going with something else at first...

After a serious study of the movies to come, I have (probably unwisely, but you gotta go with your gut eh?) chosen Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom

Interesting. I think so far there's 2 movies that could break 300 million that haven't been picked.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Breaking Dawn even hit $200 million. A lot of Twi-hards hated the book.

I know I shouldn't ask, but what's the basis of such an assertion?

The book sharply divided fans of the book series. Some loved it like the others while others felt that the sudden change to cheap gore and forgetting everything that was established before then put them off from future installments (ask some Twilight fans, you will get half "loved it" and half "hated it"). This was part of the reason why the fifth book was never released.

Summit even realized this by splitting the film into two parts so to reach the box office of New Moon and Eclipse.

The fith book was a retelling and it wasn't released solely because it was leaked.

And I am willing to bet you money that Twilight 4 (the movie) will make $280,000,000 or beyond. Want to make it a $10 bet?

i agree with six. there is no reason that twilight 4 wont be just as successful as all the rest have been. even though i think they are awful, everybody else thinks that they are an event film ala harry potter.

will be back shortly with my pick after a minute or two of second guessing

Me too. I'm glad I'm guaranteed to get one of them. Tell me which one I can't have, UDM!
