Tranny, I've noticed in pretty much every draft that you prefer to restrict yourself almost entirely to films that come out only in the first eight months of the league. (You went with Ride Along 2 this year, but I suspect that was just too good to pass up).

I'm wondering why you do this. Is it because you fear postponements and having to make roster changes?

(Not that I'm knocking your strategy ... you've done very very well in these tournaments.)

I tried the Tranny model last season but it didn't work so much (damn Furious 7).

That's exactly why. I'm paranoid that if I draft a bunch of movies from February-April, they'll get postponed and I'll be left filling my slate with random indie movies. I actually planned on taking How to Be Single, The Nut Job 2 and Deadpool, but they all got selected right before I planned on picking them.

Thanks for covering for me, Chien. I'm feeling better about Shaun the Sheep. But, I have no idea what to expect from Krampus. I'm not sure if it's heavy on the horror and light on the comedy, equal parts both, or light horror and heavy comedy. The cast seems just as likely to do serious as comedic as well. Either way, Krampus is an interesting character. I'm intrigued to see just how it turns out, or if anyone turns out for it.

Krampus feels like an unnecessary remake of Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale. But of course, most people won't read subtitles.

My pleasure, Empire. Krampus was at the very bottom of my list, but Shaun might grab some cash in August.
Well done Aquamann with the Linklater movie. It was one of the unscheduled films I had on my radar.

I'll take Jake Gyllenhaal in Fox Searchlight's Demolition and hope they date it for Oscar season in November/December.

Which one is Jake Gyllenhaal going to play? If he's going for an Oscar, maybe Mr. Fuji?

Looks like we've officially reached the bottom of the dumpster. Rather than take something terrible, I'll take a gamble with Silence. Apparently it wrapped today and while I won't pretend to have the slightest clue if it'll get out of post production in time to get onto the calendar for Oscar season, it has infinitely more upside than anything else I'm looking at; at the worst it'll be an easy drop for a waiver. I took Step Up All In at this spot last year for Pete's sake!
