I'll go safe-ish with Poltergeist and Creed.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

May as well continue on with my 2016 theme, Hail, Caesar!

Missed out on that in Division A. I'm a huge Coen Bros. fan, and they've been on fire at the box office of late.

Yeah, I had been tempted to take it last couple of rounds as, other than the deliberatey low key efforts of Inside Llewyn Davis and A Serious Man, the Coens box office has been on fire, and with an absolutely phenomenol cast (and I mean jaw droppingly good), and very interesting story, seems like it could be a winner. I'm at the point now where many movies have a similar floor, so it's all about trying to find that one movie that could explode, though if not still remains safe enough to bring in a decent amount. I think Hail, Caesar! is exactly that.

Ahh, now I see surfers strategy. Obviously has some secret evil scheme to inflate ticket prices for 2016, thus winning! I'm on to you!!

Ha! Awesome. Honestly, every time my pick comes around I go through my list and every time the top ranking one seems to be a 2016 release. But this happens EVERY YEAR! I obviously over inflate titles that are a long way off, while deflating titles that I have more knowledge of. Probably why I've been demoted to B Division....

Going to hope Concussion is the next The Blind Side.

Well, I reckon most of these picks are decent, I kinda wanted Steve Jobs. Crimson Peak has potential, same with Concussion. I actually want to go watch Creed (rocky fan here), but it's in a crowded weekend, no idea what it will make.

But the pick I really wanted, and thanks to you guys for not picking it, is:

The Man from U.N.C.L.E :D

And yet every year Surfer says "Well this year, I'll pick less film from the last part of the season". "One year, it will work" ;)

A few thoughts...

Aloha: solid pick. Could surprise as an older audience film across June
Monster Trucks: not sure about this one. Could make only 50m or so. In direct competition with Alvin 4
Black Mass: Trailer seems to be doing well. But could be another Gangster Squad. Always hard to tell with Depp. The release date made me wary
Levitt/Rogen Xmas Movie: An interesting pick. Could be a surprise hit, but we know so little about it.
Steve Jobs: Another one with a huge range. Could make 80m, but if reviews aren't glowing it could make only 30m
The Huntsman: great cast and the first did well. I fear it might move to later in 2016, though.
Poltergeist: Was trying to decide between this and Crimson Peak. Both have great potential, so good pick.
Creed: Another good pick, should do well over Thanksgiving.
London Has Fallen: Don't think it'll do as well as the first, but should at least hit 50m
Hail Caesar: Coens are always risky, but being a straight-up comedy should see it at least hit 40m, if not more. Has potential to do really well.
Man From UNCLE: The cast aren't doing it for me, so I worry it has limited potential.

There are few TBA that i'm really interested in, but im hoping they are obscure enough to fall to the next round, so i'm going to take How To Be Single . it's the lone rom-com around valentines, should be good for $50M

I'll take a gamble on Ben-Hur and hope it doesn't turn out to be worse than Exodus: Gods and Kings. Timur Bekmambitov is a decent director, so we'll see.

I looked at February 2016 on Mojo to see what Rom-Com/Plain Rom was playing and found out it was How to Be Single, which doesn't really seem like something they'd release then (no stars, no female book adaptation, etc). I figure something HAS TO move there or be created specifically to fill that void, right? If I were able to take "Random Romance or Romantic Comedy or Nicholas Sparks movie that moves to Valentine's Day" next pick I would.
