Heck, even I haven't drafted it yet, though there's still plenty of time for the third year in a row....

Looks like someone didn't realize that Snowpiercer will be released VOD at the same time as its theatrical release.
Also, did anyone get Ron's next few picks?

D'oh. And I assume that won't factor into this game's totals? Oh well.Buscemi wrote:Looks like someone didn't realize that Snowpiercer will be released VOD at the same time as its theatrical release.

VOD tends to limit the number of theatres a film can play in (since many chains won't play titles that have distribution on that platform). But to be fair, Snowpiercer isn't a film with wide American appeal (and it was the fourth film made for a 2013 release with a class warfare premise).

With great shame I'll take Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Yes it sucked, yes this should somehow be worse and yes, it only has 2 weeks of run time with this release date. It also made $65M during its first 2 weeks and dammit, if Grown Ups 2 can somehow repeat its original success at the box office despite being supremely bad then so can this... at least well enough to justify a pick this late... right?

At this point in the draft there's only one movie I rank higher, so I totally understand that pick.Spectre wrote:With great shame I'll take Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Keep telling yourself that Spectre
I'm also going for a sequel, but one of much higher pedigree
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2. The first one made 47 million! I don't know how that's possible, but every old person I know saw it and loved it, so hopefully they'll head back for a second helping.

And you can't go wrong with Richard Gere joining the cast.

And there goes the one I ranked higher. Damn you, Walleye! Now I have to flip a coin for my next pick.
