I think this will be one of the pleasant surprises of the summer, and I'm cheering for it to succeed, so I'll take: The Fault in our Stars

I'll go with Gone Girl. Not sure how much upside Fincher has at the box office above the low 100's but this one's already generating some buzz. Walleye stole my pick though :P

Keeping up my string of picks I don't really like but rank high on my list, I'm taking A Million Ways to Die in the West

Out of the seven picks I sent Tranny this morning, five had been chosen by the time my turn came around, and The Fault In Our Stars would have been #8 on my depth chart. A lot of us are on the same wavelength, so it'll be very interesting to watch the results start coming in.

Into The Woods might be a bit of a gamble since the last time Steven Sondheim and Johnny Depp teamed up for a musical was the underperforming Sweeney Todd, but the combination of Disney + Streep + Musical + Fairy Tales + Christmas has the potential to be huge. Hopefully Rob Marshall will be able to return to his Chicago glory days.

Into the Woods would have been my third pick behind Tammy and Penguins. There's a mild risk it could underperform, but like you say, the content and the release date kinds feel 100m is as low as it could go.

The Fault in Our Stars is a big risk, in my opinion. It's been a while since a weepie has performed well, and we've all seen instances where a popular book fails to become a popular movie. Still, it could be a surprise counter-programming hit, but I'd be surprised if it came close to 80m.

Ill take Fury, i hope Brad Pitts name can elevate it to 150M+ like WWZ. But David Ayers recent flop with Arnie suggests its a risk

That's a good pick, Ron, and definitely on my list. Could be the hit action film of the holidays.

Gone Girl is a big risk. Could be an Argo-type Award success, or it could be a mid-level hit like Prisoners.

And I see A Million Ways to Die as a big risk. Glad it didn't fall to me as I would have wrestled over picking it. Could make 50m, could make 250m.

I see A million ways to die as a lock for $100M, its the major R rated comedy of the summer and recent history (This is the End, Ted, The Hangover pt 2) suggests 100 at least. Add to that, a good cast, good director, untried/forgotten comedy/western theme, the ceiling is high here

I believe it is my turn...I think from here on out all the picks have risks, but without further delay...my 2 picks will be Hercules and The Book of Life

Damn you, Brock. Was hoping Book of Life would fall under the radar. Think it has potential to earn Hotel Transylvania numbers.

Woah. What a risk. Hard to know how a Pynchon adaptation will fare.

Let's hope that bad draft picks isn't your inherent vice. Aha.
