For Round 2, I'm picking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

And I thought Interstellar as 4th pick was a bold move!weissac wrote:For Round 2, I'm picking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Big Hero 6 for me. I wish there was a legit trailer I could see for it but hey, Walt Disney Animation Studios can't lose recently, right?

Dang it, that was my pick! I think Disney is golden and you've got a winner there.

Alright, if I can't have Disney animated then I'll go Disney live action. I'll take Cinderella.
Re: The Official 2014-15 Full Year Draft Thread (Division B)
Good call. I had that as one of my next three picks. It's Disney and it could be the next Alice in Wonderland. Plus Branagh has shown he can handle large-scale projects. However, now that you've picked it I'm hoping it'll bomb.Walleye413 wrote:Alright, if I can't have Disney animated then I'll go Disney live action. I'll take Cinderella.

Cinderella could really break out, Frozen style, so I had my eye on it.
I'll have to grab the only big animated kids' flick scheduled from Thanksgiving through Christmas (Paddington doesn't count) and hope Home takes advantage of the lack of competition.

Also a good call. Definitely has potential to hold well over the Xmas.
Think I need to nab me a summer movie. I'm going to go for 22 Jump Street
The first film surprised over a relatively quiet period and this could do very well across June and July.

22 Jump St. was the other film I was considering in round 2. Lord and Miller are on quite a roll right now, but the wide-open market from Nov-Dec gave Home the edge in my book. They should both do very well, though.

Fuck...I didn't realize thisThrough the final Sunday in April. At that point we name the winners and set up the next draft.

I wouldn't worry too much, Brock, the Fast and Furious films tend to be very frontloaded, making over 80% of their total BO in the first 3 weeks. You're pretty much guaranteed $200m for it, if not more.

Yeah that was pretty much my thinking as well. Home and 22 Jump were my next picks as well. I think they'll both clear 100mil easily with the potential to go much higher. The Jump Street trailers are cracking people up.

Goddamn it. I was so hoping that either Cinderella or Home would fall to my next picks.
