Standings (up until April 7)

If the bigger suspense at this point of our standings lies in “who’s gonna end up last” between myself and Six, as now only 12 million dollars separate us, there is movement somewhere else, as Banks’ rising continues. He just passed by Shrykemi to enter the Top 5, and is on the verge of eclipsing Walleye in 4th place.

Only three more weeks of competition, lads. I understand we can count on everyone except Boosch to participate in the 2024/25 season, if Ron is still around too. Let me know, Miesch.

1. Trannyspeare - $1,543,678,286 (4 films - Godzilla x Kong, Love lies Bleeding, Bob Marley, Migration)
2. Spectrespeare - $953,049,900 (3 films - Imaginary, Demon Slayer)
3. Screenspeare - $884,458,394 (no film in theaters)
4. Walleyespeare - $796,827,228 (1 film - Anyone But You)
5. Bankspeare - $792,792,202 (3 films - Immaculate, Kung Fu Panda, Dune II)
6. Shrykespearemi - $780,290,634 (1 film - Ghostbusters)
7. Ronspeare - $581,888,616 (1 film, Madame Web)
8. Chienspeare - $465,130,356 (1 film, Monkey Man)
9. Sixspeare - $453,285,732 (3 films - The First Omen, Arthur the King, Cabrini)

The following films appear to be done :
Wonka (Spectre, 2nd round) = $218,402,312
The Chosen Season 4 (Walleye, WW) = $29,791,662
Ordinary Angels (Screen, 7th round) = $19,174,421

4/12
Civil War (Screen, 11th round)

4/19
Abigail (Walleye, WW)
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Spectre, WW)
Spy x Family Code: White (Chien, WW)

4/26
Challengers (Screen, WW)
Unsung Hero (Spectre, WW)

Although T-money ran away with this thing - it was still a fascinating year. For my slate I was high on Oppie - but had no idea it would be the 6 month juggernaut that it was. And I knew the Marvels would disappoint a little - but that it became the movie that rang the death knell for the whole MCU? Never saw that coming. I'm hoping Vampire Abby keeps me in 4th - but I don't think that's likely. Fun year, all the same. Next year should be more interesting with the strikes over and back to an "almost normal" slate of movies.

No way I'm catching up with you, Chien.

So happy to start the draft this month and nab the first pick. Spoiler Alert: it won't be The Crow.

Can't imagine it will be Coppola's comeback film either. That could be the bomb of 2024 if it comes out as planned.

After the numbers on Silent Night and Monkey Man, I can't imagine the next John Wick wannabe will set the box office ablaze.

I actually developed something with the director for a few months, and hung out with him in his Hollywood hills house. TBF he was quite nice, but I'm relieved he didn't stay on the project.

That's pretty cool and good for him for using some of that Snow White and The Huntsman and Ghost in the Shell money on a house in the Hollywood Hills.

Man, Six, you need to become the next big Hollywood producer, have your own Hollywood hills house and invite us all.

We should set a date for the next draft to start. Maybe the 27th or the 28th?

The 28th seems ideal. Sunday is the start date we've typically employed in the past and depending on how Abigail fares, the battle for 4th place between Banks and Walleye could come down to the wire.

Standings (up until April 14)

Two more weeks to go, gents! At this point, the only remaining question mark lies over the 4th place, which Banks just grabbed from Walleye, but Walleye can count on Abigail to bring him some cash to counterattack. Will it be enough ? The rest of our standings seem pretty set in stone til the end of the season. Next week, we should have a clearer sight on that 4th-5th place battle.

1. Trannyspeare - $1,567,255,403 (2 films - Godzilla x Kong, Bob Marley)
2. Spectrespeare - $953,433,235 (2 films - Imaginary, Demon Slayer)
3. Screenspeare - $910,171,002 (Civil War)
4. Bankspeare - $808,711,271 (3 films - Immaculate, Kung Fu Panda, Dune II)
5. Walleyespeare - $796,836,307 (1 film - Anyone But You)
6. Shrykespearemi - $788,347,816 (1 film - Ghostbusters)
7. Ronspeare - $581,895,027 (1 film, Madame Web)
8. Chienspeare - $472,762,356 (1 film, Monkey Man)
9. Sixspeare - $461,247,087 (3 films - The First Omen, Arthur the King, Cabrini)

The following films appear to be done :
Migration (Tranny, 3nd round) = $127,306,285
Love Lies Bleeding (Tranny, WW) = $7,830,385

4/19
Abigail (Walleye, WW)
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Spectre, WW)
Spy x Family Code: White (Chien, WW)

4/26
Challengers (Screen, WW)
Unsung Hero (Spectre, WW)
