I think you picked a good one to start on. I like the mix of films this summer. There's no Avengers or Dark Knight. Nothing guaranteed $400 m, but a good amount of them guaranteed $200 M.
Tenet: Criterion Edition. Now with more Backwards Man.

I like the Miss Lovely pick, Brock. Hindi films have been coming on strong of late. Now I don't feel so bad about stealing Filth.

Ha...yeah I jumped the gun on Filth :) Which I think will do well and is flying under the radar a bit. Either one has a good rating, which I was looking for b/c I think Jupiter Ascending, Hercules, and Planes will knock my imdb down a bit.

Also, I know W was knocking us b/c nobody wanted Spiderman, but looking how it's going this weekend I'm glad I picked Maleficent over Spidey. I think the potential for Maleficent is pretty big and have been high on it for a while. And it's way cheaper than Spidey. Geez, I think you needed Spidey to perform a bit better than it is to play the 2 huge pick slate and a bunch of little filler. We'll have to see how it works out :)

People expected more than 93 million out of Spidey opening weekend? This is news to me. I think everyone is seriously over-reacting because they just assume every big superhero movie is "supposed" to open to 100 million freaking dollars like thats just easy to do. 93 million is phenomenal. Its going to make 13-16 top 5's and hit over 230 million dollars. I'm not disappointed in that. That's what I expected.

Well, in terms of the yearly draft it just means it'll probably turn out to be not worth picking in the first 7 or 8 picks. And in terms of the game that's still $45, a lot considering there is potential for other films, such as Godzilla, XMen, HTTYD2, etc, which could earn as much (and more than likely more in BO), it means that while it isn't a disaster it may not have been the best film to pick.
