I love that there's no blockbuster-y blockbusters this season, makes it way more competitive. That being said, I have no idea what I'll take with the 3rd pick right now.

If it was, I totally forgot. Hope he doesn't get mad. Worse comes to worse, we'll add him on the next go-round.

Damn, that'll make us odd again... maybe we can coax Six into joining.

Well he did that just yesterday. You even told him "Cool, that means I can go to Division A"...

Fraid not, I don't like the idea of a 3-month draft as there's too much of a disparity between first choice and last choice in the first round. This is even more evident outside of the holiday seasons.

God dammit. I don't know how, but somehow I thought his request to join was Geezer's. Turns out, Geezer never made such a request.

I'll e-mail Walleye today and let him know that he's in.

I don't really agree with that statement, six, at least in theory. When pricing is assessed (and as a member of the panel I'm sure you are aware), we have to assign prices to movies depending on their value. No movie should ever be a 'must have' prior to a season commencing, although during the season when surprises occur this often becomes the case. Values of movies in comparison to other films should be made, thus films like Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs being almost double that of virtually every other movie in the season. If a movie still becomes a 'must have' then surely as the pricing panel we have failed, and we should constantly be seeking to improve the true value of movies. Of course this happens a lot, which is why I say this is a theory only, but it should be aimed at. If this was achieved, with each movie having a correct price for it's value, no movie should become a 'must have' and the disparity you talk about between the first and last choice in a round is negligible.

I'm not sure we have achieved it yet, but knowing I have two movies for the price of Chien's one, and knowing he will have to squeeze another 7 films onto his roster with just $70 while I have the freedom to pick six with the same amount, it should be a fair contest, and rely solely on good strategy and forward thinking to succeed, rather than the luck of a draw.

I think the pricing only has a minimal impact on a draft game. My problem is really with the draft system. Once you have Cloudy, the clear best pick of the league, nothing else really compares. The pricing scheme is an attempt to balance out picks, but considering no other film is priced particularly high, I doubt whoever picks first will run into that difficulty.

Have we got a time limit here? I'm going to be away from my computer for awhile so I can send a list to someone if need be.
