October-December Drafting Thread (Division B)

Post by Shrykespeare »

Okay, guys, the prices for the upcoming season are set, and so it is time to begin the draft. I, because of my last-place finish in Div. A, will pick fifth (Damn you GI Joe!!), and the other four players who remain in Div. B will pick in reverse order.

1. Ozzy, 8/$100 - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Flight, Frankenweenie, Killing Them Softly, The Sessions, Parental Guidance, A Royal Affair, Les Miserables
2. UDM, 8/$100 - Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, This is 40, Paranormal Activity 4, Anna Karenina, The Paperboy, Monsters Inc. 3D, V/H/S, Middle of Nowhere
3. tranny, 8/$93 - Skyfall, Silver Linings Playbook, Argo, Rust and Bone, Django Unchained, The Man With the Iron Fists, Zero Dark Thirty, The Impossible
4. leestu, 8/$85 - Rise of the Guardians, Lincoln, Life of Pi, Cloud Atlas, This Must Be the Place, Sinister, Seven Psychopaths, Amour
5. Shryke, 8/$100 - Wreck-It Ralph, Taken 2, Jack Reacher, Hyde Park on Hudson, Here Comes the Boom, A Late Quartet, Fun Size, Promised Land

Forty movies will be chosen, but there are 56 movies to choose from (so far), so any movie can be dropped in favor of another, but not until after the draft is complete.

Here are the prices for the October-December Ultimate leagues:

10/5
Butter, $4

10/12
Nobody Walks, $3
War of the Buttons, $3

10/19
Alex Cross, $11

The Loneliest Planet, $2

10/26
Chasing Mavericks, $9
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, $7
Starlet, $3

11/2
Jack and Diane, $3
High Ground, $3

11/9
Coming Up Roses, $2

11/21 (Wed.)
Red Dawn, $9

11/30

I sent him an e-mail. I told him 12 hrs (but we'll give him 24 because this draft started without warning).

Well, those four choices are the obvious blockbusters. After that, things decline sharply, so I'll take the next two most likely to be blockbuster by the end of December...

I'll take Wreck-It Ralph and Taken 2.

$15 for one week? Sounds like the Bankrupts pick of the season.
Everything on this post is strictly the opinion and only the opinion of Buscemi.

Oh, shit, I forgot Les Miserables had migrated to 12/25.

Ozzy, you may change that to something else if you want to. Of course, if UDM beats you to the next pick, you're stuck with it.
