I really wanted (and thought I would get) Pink or Rowdy, so my slate will have to take a hit with Alps. That leaves one $2 title for Surfer that looks like it belongs on PBS kids.

I may drop it for something else later, but for now I'll take Take This Waltz for my final pick, bringing me to an even $100.

Assuming Surfer takes Oogieloves (and he pretty much has to), that means all of us will be at an even $100. How about that.

I can't remember the last time I've liked a slate of mine in the quarterly leagues as much as I do here. I probably got nearly every one of my first choices.

Yeah [sigh], I'll take the kids movie. Really hoped to get Pink Ribbons with my last pick. May have to shuffle my slate around a little later.

Obviously, I am going to have to drop G.I. Joe for something else. But what?

Unless something else that's big slides in to take it's place, this means that Brave is almost a shoe-in to win back-to-back weekends. So if I'm trying to grab Top 5 points, my only real choices among the unchosen picks are Madea's Witness Protection and Savages.

On the one hand, with G.I. Joe gone Madea could open as high as #2 behind Brave (unless Magic Mike kills or Abe Lincoln opens very high), but on the other, it's yet another Madea film, and I think even TP diehards are sick of that character. Plus, the Rating will SUCK.

Then we have Savages, which has a shot (not a big shot, just a shot) at #2 behind Spider-Man, assuming fans won't be lining up in droves to see Katy Perry (which BOM doesn't even have as going wide, despite being distributed by Paramount). With only three movies going wide the two weeks after, Savages could conceivably be in the Top 5 for three weeks, earning seven Top 5 points. Plus, it's Rating won't be nearly as horrible.

So I'll take Savages.

Damn, I was feeling good about my slate despite not having TDKR, but I think my chances of winning this league just took a sharp kick to the nuts.

The Katy Perry movie will go wide. Paramount released the Justin Bieber movie into 3,000 theatres and the marketing campaign for this one's been everywhere since April.

I have created the Draft League.

The league is called:

2012 Draft League (3rd Quarter)

(Ignore the league that says "Division A" after it)

And the password is "2012DL3Q" (all caps!)

Remember to put what division you are in (A or B) at the BEGINNING of your studio name!!

Please do NOT enter this league if you are not a part of it!

The August movies have not been added yet, but hopefully soon. In the meantime, you can pick your June/July movies.

... and then I go and forget to put an "A" in front of my own studio name. Christ. Not my day. I'll see if Mario can change it for me.

In all the hubbub of the last round of Super Leagues and Regulars Leagues, I completely forgot about this league.

Here are the results:

1st: Banks
2nd: W
3rd: surfer
4th: Buscemi
5th: Shryke (drops down to Division B)

I'm assuming the next draft league will be for October-December. However, we can't draft for this league yet because I don't have pricing schemes.

Therefore, I will send out the pricing schemes right away with the note that we get them back ASAP so we can complete the drafts for Divisions A and B.
