That never occurred to me, but it's a great point. These days IMDB is just a collection of pasty film bros.

I just figured it would appeal to an older crowd and hold well in the Top 5 across the weeks.

Types of movies I've found get high IMDb ratings:

- a part of a franchise angry white men love
- a film from a director popular with angry white men
- faith-based movies not named God's Not Dead
- men's rights propaganda
- movies filled with violence
- things part of a viral campaign (such as when Red Letter Media got fans to give a movie 10 scores without said voters even seeing it)

You never know otherwise.
