I don't think I've seen 100 films from the 50s, so kudos to you. Good to see lots of Kurosawa there (even if The Hidden Fortress is by far his worst film) and lots of Tati, a truly under-rated filmmaker.

Hated Hiroshima Mon Amor, I found it unwatchable. It's films like these that justify the claim that foreign cinema is pretentious and elitist!

The Wages of Fear is high on my To See list.

The perks of having libraries and Turner Classic Movies. Great ways to see the classics.

I see plenty of Criterion films there, I assume that's where you discover a lot of films? I often brose through their catalogue as a way of finding out about directors I'm unfamiliar with.

Indeed. The name is almost always a mark of quality and when one I haven't seen comes out, I put it on my To See list (still waiting for someone to carry Louis Malle's Black Moon).

I've seen over 100 films from the 1950s ... if you include MST3k features.

Good list. Made me realize that a decent chunk of my all-time favorites are from that decade.
On the run from Johnny Law ... ain't no trip to Cleveland.

Ben-Hur only at #62. Wow!

I've enjoyed reading through your lists and, to be honest, can't even begin to imagine the difficulty in keeping track of what you've seen, how you've rated it and then separating it into a sensible list. Kudos and appreciation for the time and hard work.

Off this list I reckon you would like:

Wages Of Fear
The Killing
Les Diaboliques
Kiss Me Deadly
Touch Of Evil

though I reckon you'd also enjoy Dial M For Murder, The Sweet Smell of Success, The Ladykillers and Rebel Without a Cause. Much of this list, as with the majority of 50s movies, requires you to be a fan of the film noir genre though.
