Interesting, Boosch. While I have liked your previous lists, it's this one that diverges the most from my own taste. Probably because I don't like Eastwood's films (The Unforgiven was the only one I liked), so much so that there's a few on your list I hated (Million Dollar Baby, Flags of our Father, etc). I'm also not a huge fan of Michael Moore's documentaries. I feel he panders to the lowest common deminator, though Bowling for Columbine was his most noble effort. He's the Michael Bay of documentary making! Also the film I hate the most, more than any other film in existence, is on your list.

Still, I love Memento, Amelie, and was delighted to see the under-appreciated Revanche make your top 110.

Wow, I didn't realize you were such a fan of Michael Moore. Not a hugefan personally, so I'm surprised to find so many movies of his. But I understand the love for Clint, contrary to Six
There are quite a few films I really don't like either, like the horrendous Chicago, the annoying Slumdog Millionaire, the average Seabiscuit, or the likes of Snatch, Bobby (so minor, so cliché in the direction and screenplay), A Beautiful Mind (what a torture), or the foreign stuff like Curse of the Golden Flower (which I only like because Gong Li is absolutely stunning in it), Mongol (a lot of potential, but very forgettable), or Songs from the second floor, which I couldn't manage to get into.

Of course there's still plenty to love in the rest, which is a lot

Unlike Chien, I really liked Bobby, and I'm glad to see it get recognized for once.

Some of the contested movies are movies that I saw and really liked when I was younger (and still would like in later viewings). I am not religious but I feel that The Passion of the Christ stands up well as an artistic effort (yes, it's gory but in a historical sense it may have been like that). I also fail to see how the film is anti-semetic (seeing that Jesus was Jewish himself and it was the Romans who crucified him).

On Bobby: I feel this was a very underappreciated film when it came out. Estevez is actually quite a good director (I also really liked The Way, his most recent film) and the narrative is well-done even if it's been done before. I was surprised to see it get snubbed at the Oscars that year.

Well I do think that the film is not exactly innocent in its portrayal of the Jewish community, who for the most part are grotesque exaggerations. But its anti-semitism is one of the lesser arguements against the film.

If you wait a few days, our Thanksgiving is the 25th, and could cause problems as it's pretty much our #2 holiday. So just after that would probably work out best.

Okay, how about the 28th? That ensures we will be finished before Christmas too. Let's get this set in stone so that it actually happens.

I have a bit of an ideological problem with this countdown. As much as I'd like to bash a bunch of movies I hate... I think the "no such thing as bad press" saying applies here. When I discover a project that I REALLY find objectionable, I stay quiet about it--hoping that it will simply fall by the wayside. You know, the same reason I haven't said a peep about that TV show starring the sister of the girl from "Bones." Or, for that matter: "Bones."
