Interesting that your first non-english language film is only 37th, Life is Beautiful... and that there are so few foreign films in general in your list. I thought there would be more coming from you Boosch.

Interesting to see Wild at Heart so high up. Why do you like it so much?

On the foreign films: many of the films that I listed are films that I saw when I was younger. So films like Speed, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2 and the Toy Story films were bound to be high. I didn't see that many foreign films from the era until I was a teenager. Though I included some, many of them weren't as memorable for me as the sentimental favorites.

On Wild At Heart: I tend to like films featuring characters on the run. Also, it's a film that had me hooked from the opening shot and anticipating more. And I do like David Lynch.

Wakko's Wish: not as good as the series it's based on.

Star Wars Episode I: Weakest of the six films.

That opening scene is pretty extraordinary, I'll give you that. It's possibly one of my least favourite Lynch films by far, but it's still pretty good. Have you seen Lost Highway yet?
