Re: Trailer: Joker: Folie à Deux
Did we really need a third origin story for Harley Quinn? And as The Batman Part II apparently has Harley Quinn as well, we'll be getting a fourth in the near future. DC Studios has no idea how to build a universe. As for the trailer itself, I found every filmbro's favorite movie of 2024 as Civil Wa...

After the numbers on Silent Night and Monkey Man, I can't imagine the next John Wick wannabe will set the box office ablaze.

Can't imagine it will be Coppola's comeback film either. That could be the bomb of 2024 if it comes out as planned.

Re: Rate That Movie Part IV: Movies Never Sleep
Hundreds of Beavers 1/10 I seriously don't get why people liked this movie so much. Personally, I think it's the worst movie I've seen since Skinamarink. Over its way overlong 108 minute length which even at 10 minutes would have felt too long, we get an extremely moronic main character who spends a...

Re: Tranny Tackles the Cinema: The Films of 4/5
Extremely disappointing for Monkey Man, given the pre-release buzz. Had it stayed on Netflix, it would have gotten far more response in the first day than Universal managed to get with its lack of push this weekend. The results also question whether if SXSW hype translates to box office. Everything ...

Cinemascores:
Monkey Man: B+ (a bit of a disappointing score until you find that the first John Wick got a B)
The First Omen: C (below the 2006 Omen's C+ score)

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
Not sure how the awards shows are going to respond to a horror film that's not from Jordan Peele. It might just be a wide opening right away to fill auditoriums before Christmas titles show up. In addition, that title has been getting a name change at some point. You can't really display "bitch" on ...

Re: Rate That Movie Part IV: Movies Never Sleep
Totem 3/10 A girl visits her grandparents' house for the birthday of her father (or uncle, from the subtitles of the DCP I saw)...and not a whole lot else happens. The plot got astray pretty quickly as the characters have little to do and there's not a whole lot of objectives in the storyline outsid...
