Re: Tranny Tackles the Cinema: The Films of 9/29
Battle of the Sexes expands to 1,100 theatres (but not here, I'm guessing the local Drafthouse was going to book it on exclusive and then the sexual harassment allegations came out, Fox pulled Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri from Fantastic Fest due to a previous allegation towards the Draf...

Re: Tranny Tackles the Cinema: The Films of 9/29
Flatliners is basically getting dumped by Sony. An opening weekend in the $5 million range wouldn't be surprising.
As for PTA, I don't think Super Dark Times will do that well. It seems more like a film that was picked up for post-theatrical possibilities with box office as an afterthought.

Re: I've written a story
I do the research, yes, but I have a feeling there's no market for it. That and there's too much drama between the truth and those who only believe popular history (I'm amazed how many people believe the whole story Marvel loves to concoct of how no one wanted to make Iron Man when New Line had it i...

Re: New countdown list
I was talking about the site's Voldemort. I'm sorry if I implied that you didn't like Guy Pearce, Shryke.

A lot of those sports games are the same every year. I bet there are whole landfills filled with nothing but Madden games you can't sell on the secondary market.

Re: New countdown list
He put Memento on his list because Shryke didn't like it and tried to claim Guy Pearce has never made a good movie.
I don't want to see it tried again but he'll come back and try to pull the same crap again.

Re: New countdown list
We tried a worst movie list only to find out the person in charge hadn't seen half the movies he was listing and was just listing movies Shryke mentioned.

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
The untitled DC film on 7/27/2018 is actually going to be an animated film unrelated to the DCEU. A movie based on the Teen Titans Go series has been placed at the spot. Meanwhile, Universal will open Eli Roth's The House With a Clock on Its Walls (with a surprisingly good cast for a Roth film) on 9...

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
I read a synopsis for Lady Bird mentioning the story being set during one of the early 2000's recessions (yes, there were recessions in the 2000's before The Great Recession) and one of the subplots involving the character played by Tracy Letts (he's been everywhere lately, hasn't he?) losing his jo...

10 most overrated movies. Whiplash would be a strong contender.

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
It: Chapter Two now has a date: September 6th, 2019. Looks like casting's going to take longer than originally thought (some flashback sequences have already been filmed). Meanwhile, production began today on perhaps the most ambitious production since The Hobbit trilogy: Avatar 2, Avatar 3, Avatar ...

Re: What's on the ol' boob tube RIGHT NOW.... or close to no
Missed the first Discovery episode (I guess I'll wait for Netflix to get the reruns or the Blu-ray release) and as expected, it seems to be dividing critics and audiences. Critics, for the most part, are liking it (Metacritic's a 76 with no negative reviews) but the hardcore fans are simply finding ...

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch
Yes, but Neon and the current Miramax aren't players like Fox, A24, and Amazon are. Fox is going to give a big push for both Hawkins and McDormand while a number of insiders have Annette Bening getting in there (though Sony Pictures Classics has fallen a bit in recent years and it's Bening playing a...
