Not that I think it'll change your mind, but Nina's version is the original. That said, I do like the Animals version also, just not as much.

Re: Three Musketeers Cast

That story bears no relation to the Johnathan Glazer one for a number of reasons that we all know, and surely I don't have to point out?

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #5): #60-#51

Buscemi – Radiohead, “Creep” – I'm pretty sure this was MY introduction to Radiohead, but I remember being blown away by the animated video for “Karma Police”. Most bands would strip their gears changing tempo like that, but Radiohead does it so effortlessly. That being said, I've never really love...

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #4): #70-#61

LeAnn Rimes doesn't write her own music either. Or at least she certainly didn't write the song UDM picked. And I can't believe you remember Bewitched. Or B'Witched as they were officially called. The company I used to work for made a documentary on them being the Next Big Thing. That didn't work ou...

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #4): #70-#61

While I have a strong distaste for both LeAnn Rimes and Miley Cyrus , there is very little comparison between the two.. Miley Cyrus was grown in a Disney-owned lab as a pop-culture experiment.. Rimes, despite the fact that I don't like her stuff, is nonetheless writing and performing actual MUSIC T...

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #5): #60-#51

Overall a very strong round, with only one song I absolutely hated (and for once, it's not UDM's pick ;) ) Shrykespeare: UB40, “Wear You to the Ball” (1989) - Sorry, Shrykey, but I've heard plenty of UB40 across the years, and frankly they bore me. Then again, reggae is a genre I don't particularly ...

Re: Three Musketeers Cast

I don't think Birth killed Jonathan Glazer's career. Music video directors often take long leaves of absences from the film industry and Glazer is no exception. No, I think you're misinformed. Often what happens is that music video directors get their first opportunity to direct a movie, and then i...

Re: Three Musketeers Cast

Likw the real plot of the plotless Resident Evil films? PW Anderson couldn't direct himself down a one-way street.

Re: Three Musketeers Cast

That's an awful cast full of actors who have little to no talent. But I suppose that makes since considering it's a Paul W Anderson movie.

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #4): #70-#61

Well, I see both as making the same country-pop music. And as for feeling, I don't hear any feeling from LeAnn Rimes. It's the same ol' cliched crap to me, and hence I see her as the same as Miley Cyrus.

Nina Simone, "Please Don't Let me Be Misunderstood" (1964) that was totally awesome, it reminded me of gnarls barkley for some reason, even though this came 40 years before. good stuff, you have any more songs on your list? if not any you would recommend? Oh a simple Best Of of any kind will show N...

Unless by technical you mean good taste ;) this out of the window. ;) Haha. Honestly though, I'd love to see what you think are the di...

Re: What are you watching RIGHT NOW.... or close to now. S03E01

I finally got to see the infamous The Room . Rating: WTF/10 My God, it's the most fascinatingly bad movie I've ever seen. every scene is imbued with the strangest decision, from performance to set design to camera angles to music. And it just couldn't be intentional, it's too insane to be thought ou...

Re: Fantaverse Top 100 Songs of All Time (THREAD #5): #60-#51

Shrykespeare: Lush, “Last Night” (1996) - I remember these guys back in the mid 90's. There were so many indie acts like this around that it was hard to distinguish one from another. Having said that, I actually liked this song. Very pleasant indeed. NSpan: Pink Floyd, "San Tropez” (1971) - I'm not...
