#75 CHIEN The National, Don’t Swallow the Cap (2013) I'm not too familiar with these guys, but I enjoy the music you've posted GEEZER The Menzingers, Good Things (2012) Immediately catchy JOHNERLE The View, Same Jeans (2007) haha, i wasn't sure what to make of this at first... but it grew on me qui...

CHIEN Clara Luciani, La Grenade (2018) Catchy and inspiring! Thanks for posting some lyrics, that definitely gave the song a bit more gravitas than the sound alone did. GEEZER Jimmy Eat World, My Sundown (2001) Pleasant. And, yup, I enjoyed the change of pace. JOHNERLE Santigold, L.E.S. Artistes (2...

CHIEN Elbow, Grounds for Divorce (2008) I'm a native English-speaker, and I generally don't truly absorb/process lyrics until I see them in print. I had to look these up. It definitely adds a layer to appreciate on top of the catchy near-blues sound. Pretty good. GEEZER The Hold Steady, Sequestered...

nspan - I mostly know Holly Golightly from her duet with Jack White at the end of Elephant. I think you may have posted a few of her other songs on here before too, not that I recall them. While you mention she can tackle any genre, this sounds like pretty much the same formula as the Jack White on...

Re: Top 100 Songs of the Millennium (2000-2019) - #90-81

That Clinic tune is really good, too. It seems to remind me of something but I can't put my finger on what. Definitely not Jefferson Airplane, though. Yeah, my comparison to Airplane doesn't totally apply to that particular track. But the similarities will become apparent to anyone who dives deeper...

CHIEN Kaleo, Way Down We Go (2015) Very engaging. It has a touch of that "cinematic" quality that tends to show up in your picks. Your music rewards "active" listening. GEEZER Captain We're Sinking, Montreal (2013) Pretty good track in isolation.. though I could see myself getting tired of an entir...

#88 CHIEN Dark Rooms, I Get Overwhelmed (2017) Appropriately cinematic, I liked it. Sounded a bit like Coldplay..but, somehow, not in a bad way? GEEZER Green Day, Still Breathing (2016) Green Day lost my interest after Dookie... but this track was better than I thought it'd be. In fact, it was good...

#89 CHIEN Archive, Friend (2003) I notice that a lot of your tracks have a long, slow buildup and a crescendo. I usually dig that in psychedelia, though in pop sometimes it can occasionally come off as quasi-inspirational or even melodramatic. I don't think this particular track suffers for it, but...

I don't disagree with the comment about Geezer's picks all sounding the same (especially the singers) but I kinda feel the same way about Six's picks so far. It's true. PJ Harvey often gets mistaken as ambient electro act Blanck Mass all the time. They're virtually the same in that they both produc...
