Re: 2019-20 Division B Waiver Wire
I think the point is, yes some of these movies would not have been big, but getting $20-30M from a couple movies could be the difference in winning or making it to the top division. There just aren't as many movies to pick from as their used to be.

Re: 2019-20 Division B Waiver Wire
This is by far the weirdest season we've had of the draft. So many movies dumped. So many flops. So much waiting to see if a movie is going to be released theatrically or not. A lot of crap to muck through really.

Re: 2019-20 Division B Waiver Wire
In any event, I need to replace The Personal History of David Copperfield, as it will be released in May of next year. So I'll go ahead and pick up First Cow.
Fuck my life.

Re: 2019-20 Division B Waiver Wire
I'm not 100% sure, because of the new format on Box Office Mojo, but it appears a movie called Vivo has been moved up to April 16th of next year. Should we add this to the wire?

Re: Future Tracking From Exhibitors
I'm getting Deja Vu...
Although I admit...I felt a little gross after I drafted it. Like, ew, this isn't going to end well.
Was hoping for better than this for the sake of my draft! I had it pegged for $110M when I made my draft board.11/1 Terminator: Dark Fate 38/85

Re: 2019 Box Office Top 20 Contest
Ok, so it appears Banks, Walleye, and Ron made a good choice with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It currently stands at $125M and is still earning money. Nice job fellas. On the not so good decisions front, UDM and I didn't pick up Hobbs and Shaw. Whoops! It will be a while before another film is re...

Re: Future Tracking From Exhibitors
For the sake of my draft, I'm sure hoping for higher than 110M. When I made my draft board I had it at 150M.10/18 Maleficent: Mistress of Evil 37/110

Re: 2019-20 Full Year Slates (Division B)
So I see The Personal History of David Copperfield just got picked up by Fox Searchlight. It is premiering in Toronto in Sept and also showing at the BFI Film Festival in October. They are stating a release date of "2020." My question for you indie snobs, is how long after the festival circuit do th...
