Well, I was debating between a few and they're actually all still there. Which makes me think they might all be bad
But I'll take Novocaine. The story behind the company making the movie intrigues me. Maybe they'll get it right.

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Suddenly I feel like all I'm looking at are movies that might make 40 million. Big drop off this year, imo.
I'll take Paddington in Peru. The first two were well loved, so let's hope this one gets a few families out to the movies.

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Welp I had delusional hopes that several movies would make it back to me - but ya'll seemed to have the same thought. So, I'll go with the Valentine's Date movie of the year in 2025 The Smurfs. Who doesn't want to fantasize about little blue creatures while out with your S.O.

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Gotta disagree - I think Twisters will be a hit. The first one was so fun - people my age will be stoked to see a new take on it. and Glen Powell is as hot as anyone right now - in all senses of the word. Twisters was my other choice. Good pick.

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
We're at the point in the draft where historically I know I can talk myself into anything. usually a movie I'm personally excited about - even if no one else is. But - what did we learn from 2023? Original concepts can sell! So I'll take the Untitled Ryan Coogler movie. Here's hoping it keeps its da...

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Brave New World was my other choice but I was already going to lean into Venom 3: Even more venom-ier! I do not understand the appeal of these movies at all. But the first two both made over 200 million?!? Guess I'll hope the third time still charms.

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Minecraft - if it's any good - will be huge. It is still the biggest game in the world. If you get three weeks of it it'll be massive. This year feels like a big crapshoot all around. I'm excited for Wicked and IF - but is that just my bias? Will audiences actually agree with me? (note - they usuall...

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Hello all! Great to be back! I'm here in the Seattle area so probably one of the last to be up for the day - but I can do some picks late into the night if helpful. I have no clue what to pick! I stumbled into a decent slate last year thanks to a few films - but my top pick was not one of them. So -...

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Although T-money ran away with this thing - it was still a fascinating year. For my slate I was high on Oppie - but had no idea it would be the 6 month juggernaut that it was. And I knew the Marvels would disappoint a little - but that it became the movie that rang the death knell for the whole MCU?...

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
I'm game for another draft. I'm not in the loop like I used to be on movies - but this draft was always one of the highlights of my "online" year so I'm up to keep going.

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
I'm good either way. If I felt like it was going to get me into the top 3 I'd fight harder for it, but it's my own dang fault that a WW pickup might be my 3rd or 4th best pick of the draft.

Thanks, well I'll bid on it. I'm not sure anything else is coming out in 1st Quarter 2024 anyway
