Re: The Official 2013-2014 Full Year Draft Thread (Division
The Maze Runner is going to play much more like Chronicle (65M) and the first Percy Jackson (90m) than Beautiful Creatures. Boys love the Maze Runner, not just girls, and on Valentines Day that's what you want. It may not warrant such a high pick, it may still tank. But I've got a feeling it just ma...

Yes, now I don't know what to do. I like Wolf as well. Another strong contender. So, back to the summer blockbusters? There are a few left, of course. But I think the surprise hit of February will be The Maze Runner ! I know most of the teen lit movies have not translated to big success, but I think...

I'm torn between a few movies now. Some I want to see, and hope they do well, and some I won't be seeing, even though they may do well. What to do? Be hopeful I guess. I'm going with The Monuments Men , the December George Clooney film. If it hits, it should hit big. If it flops, hello First pick ne...

The director's last film, District 9, grossed 115 million with no stars, when Blomkamp was a relative unknown. And it covered that very subject. Yeah, I think Elysium is going to do quite well. And this is the type of movie that will bring out the Matt Damon fans (as opposed to Promised Land.) I th...

Ender's Game and The Heat are both high on potential. Good picks. I think The Heat will actually best Ender's Game in the end. Melissa McCarthy is killing it right now, and Sandra Bullock still has a good following as well. But I hope Ender's Game does well also as I really loved that book.

You're totally right. Ted was it for last year. I didn't choose it in any game except bankrupts I think. Oops.

Re: The Official 2013-2014 Full Year Draft Thread (Division
The trick is, from here on out who will pick the "Hangover" from 2 years ago? Or if there even is one with so much return for so little investment any more. I'm trying to think of what movie would qualify as a real, under-the-radar hit from last year, and I'm not sure I can think of any. Skyfall and...

Totally agree with all of the above. It does get much more interesting from here on out. Last year's Thanksgiving animated movie turned out to flop a bit, but I'm thinking that Frozen does much better this year. So: Frozen it is. Now, will one of my sleeper picks be around in another 15 picks or so?...

Wahoo! I could be wrong, but I really think that Fast and Furious 6 is a $250 million movie. Didn't think I'd get it at 8, but I did! Now, don't steer me wrong Vin!
Fast and Furious 6 please!

Hi gang, I've got the emails and I'm following along. Really annoyed that Superman and Star Trek are gone, but I didn't think I had a real chance at either being down at pick 8! Come on! What do you expect me to do with that? Take the One Direction movie in August? As for moving up in the division -...

Re: 2013-14 Full Year Sign-Up Sheet
Hey guys, just to clarify then. Can those of us in the B League draft movies that were picked in the A league? i.e. Catching Fire will be drafted in both leagues, as will IronMan 3, etc.? And yes, I'll try to keep an eye here more often for the draft. What's the start date? After this weekend? Walleye

Re: SPEARE'S TIPS - The Films of 4/12/13 +Top Ten
Great question on anticipated movies. I'll go: #1 - Star Trek: I am so excited for this one. I thought the reboot was amazing and think this one will even top it. It's my pick for the year. #2 - Elysium: Love the talent on both sides of the camera. Really hope they nail it. #3 - Heat: No one is funn...
