Man, Spectre is really putting a beatdown on the rest of us this season  That's what we deserve for underestimating Gru and the gang.
I believe in the power of the little pests!

Re: The Latest Date Changes 2: The New Batch

In a downright shocking move, Warner Brothers has decided to not release Batgirl. Apparently, the new regime wants to only release event DC movies and they feel Batgirl doesn't fit that model. It's absolutely crazy that they would just throw a $70M budget film in the trash, let alone one with this ...

Re: SIX TIPS, OR HOW TO PLEASE YOUR SLATE – THE FILMS OF 7/01

But watch it dip again after the product shortages of August and September come in. Some scheduled September titles still don't have any promotional materials out (Salem's Lot, The Woman King, Honk for Jesus). Feels like everything that's finished is being saved for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sure...

That's a crazy figure for something like this.

I'm just pumped to see the box office come roaring back. Should be a massive sign that theatrical releases are still the way to go.

Hey Shryke, can you double check my total? Top Gun has almost out-earned that figure by itself :P

Re: 2022-23 YEARLONG BOX OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE

As for the list thing, I think drafting from a preset list takes away a lot of the fun so I would be against it. I agree, I think using a list would take away a lot of the fun and challenge. Being able to research and find films that aren't on the calendar and that others aren't aware of is part of...

Re: 2022-23 YEARLONG BOX OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE

Grabbing a couple more TBAs since I'll have the #1 waiver claim and should be able to replace one of them fairly easily. I'll take The Plane with my first. It sounds like an incredibly generic Gerard Butler movie but those make enough money that it's worth the pick if it lands on the calendar. At th...

Re: 2022-23 YEARLONG BOX OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE

Well that was pretty much everything I was looking at for these picks... I guess I'll take Renfield . Looks like it could be a dumpster fire within a dumpster fire and will only be there for 3 weeks if it doesn't move but it has a release date, a major distributor, and maybe the Nic Cage "renaissanc...
