Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
I can run it if need be, but Chien has handled it the past 2 years, so I kind of expected him to do it again. I'll also send an email out sometime in the next 24 hours for the people that don't lurk around these parts as much to let them know we're starting on Sunday.

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Part of me wants to take a victory lap right now, but that would honestly just be mean. The draft I was able to string together was just absurdly good-partly because none of my heavy-hitters got moved out of this season and The Eras Tour WW pickup was the cherry on top of this dream run. As ecstatic...

Re: SIX TIPS, OR HOW TO PLEASE YOUR SLATE – THE FILMS OF 4/26
I think Challengers is a real threat to do $15-20 mil this weekend. The buzz surrounding it seems to have gone beyond the niche corner of the internet that embraced Bones and All, it has the full complement of PLF screens behind it and all those glowing reviews certainly won't hurt. As for Boy Kills...

Re: Screening The Releases - April 19th
While I'm no Hollywood insider, I'm fairly confident that David Leitch wasn't named the shadow CEO of Universal because their releasing 1 movie he directed and 1 movie he produced over the next 9 months and will not have any say in what kind of movies they elect to make moving forward.

Re: Trailer: Trap
I would never even consider defending David Zaslav. He's the biggest anti-art bozo CEO in Hollywood right now. I simply stated that there were several high-profile creatives who clearly weren't bothered by WB's shelving of finished films for tax breaks since they signed on to do movies with them sin...

Re: Screening The Releases - April 19th
Not a chance. Horror is the easiest profit a studio can make when the budgets are low enough (the combined production cost of Night Swim and Abigail was $43 mil-which includes an undisclosed increase in Abigail's budget due to it being mid-shoot when the SAG strike started) and outside of The Exorci...
