Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Interesting picks. There are 2 films I would have picked over Despicable Me (surely the franchise will start to dop eventually!) and Joker 2 (could be bigger, or could disappoint fans. It's a risk), but sensible picks nonetheless

Re: 2024-25 YEARLONG BOX-OFFICE DRAFT LEAGUE
Great to be back, and this time hopefully those blasted unions won't be ruining my slate by asking for decency, fairness, and a shunning of Skynet in the industry. It's always going to be a shame that Shryke can't join us for the games and the countdowns, but this is a game that will always remind m...

Chien my friend, if you set up the Draft thread, I'll make my first pick.
It should be no surprise to anyone.

Yes, for sure, I'm up for it.
Not sure if I have time to run it, though, so if anyone else wants to take over explaining the rules and helping chase anyone whose turn it is, that would be great.

It will have better WOM than Bones and All, which didn't quite appeal to horror fans or to romance fans. What you see in the trailers is what you get.

SIX TIPS, OR HOW TO PLEASE YOUR SLATE – THE FILMS OF 4/26
Firstly, a note for any of you reading who may be interested in the Full Year Draft. We’ll be starting on Sunday, so if you haven’t said anything, please do let someone know if you’re interested in joining the most exciting game of the year. And now, Spring ends with a slow petering out of the box-o...

Agreed with the French dog.
And even if they did, theoretically, do a global release themselves, it would need a lot less than $250m to break even as a production, because of the value of non-theatrical sales. A film like this could make up to $100m for that alone.

No but it's doing good business in the UK. Of course, that's because she's more famous here, but she's also one of the best-selling female artists of all time in the US, so it's probably worth the risk

Yes, actually that is true. But the polic tactic still makes no sense. And why on earth would they tell the merch staff????

Re: Trailer: Trap
Wow, I know there's suspension of disbelief, but this is the least convincing premise I've heard in a long time. Cops know there's a killer on the loose and lure him into a concert venue full of thousands of girl so they can catch him in the act. Right.... It makes Rebel Moon look like a Ken Loach f...

Broadly agree with these numbers
Ungentlemanly Warfare might go a little lower. Not a huge push on this, as VOD will be its main income. And Cavill isn't a major draw. I'm thinking $8m
