Re: Rate That Movie!
I think it would have been a bit more believable, if not scarier, if they decided to leave the house and stay in a hotel, and then the same things keep happening- that would prove that there was no escape. If I were Micah I'd do that regardless of the arguments.

Re: What Shows are you Into?
Watched EP1 of V. Not great, to be honest. I don't like the main actress (Juliette is by far my least favourite character from Lost), she just seems to have this permenant smug look on her face, and her range doesn't help. There wasn't much action (the original was an action series from what I recal...

Re: Rate That Movie!
Some criticise the cinema ending as it was devised by Spielberg in order to get a cheap shock, and also to leave the story open for a sequel, because Paramount own all the rights on the sequel (they didn't for this one, just US rights I believe). You could argue that the original ending, while not a...

Re: #17 - The Pianist (2002)
Fair enough - I guess I assumed everyone had seen it as it was an Oscar film. I think my problem with The Pianist is probably I have WWII-overdose, and I felt The Pianist added very little from what I've already seen or read (a vulgar formula would be Schlinder's List+The Diary of Anne Frank=The Pia...

Re: Rate That Movie!
I agree with NSpan. I did buy the authenticity of the film (mostly) without having to give a crap about the characters. Now, I'm not saying PA is a good film. In fact, you can pretty much say that PA isn't really a film, just like Blair Witch isn't a film. It's a gimmick, an experiment in scareiness...

Re: Rate That Movie!
Remember Geez that the ripped copy has the original ending, not the cinema one. Also agree about leaving the door open. Plus, I don't get why he'd agree to stay with her for that last night

Re: #17 - The Pianist (2002)
It's strange, but I really don't think that this film deserves a movie club- it's above-average and recent. Hasn't everyone seen it?
