Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
I can run it again this year, no problem. I reached out to Ron this week, as I think he's the only one that wasn't here lately to say if he was up for it. I told him we'd start on sunday, and he answered, he's good to go.

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Standings (up until April 21) And then there was only one week to go. And if the numbers will change a bit, everyone’s rankings will stay the same when the season will officially be over in a week, as the only question mark that remained was the battle between Banks and Walleye for 4th place, but d...

Re: Screening The Releases - April 19th
Selling international rights is the norm. Because indie distribs that don't belong to a studio are not distributors outside the US. They simply cannot distribute films in foreign countries. Otherwise, every American film would be distributed in every country in the world, and that's not the case. A ...

Re: Screening The Releases - April 19th
I'm pretty sure A24 doesn't need that much to break even. Don't forget to take into account the money A24 makes by selling the international rights, and they are known for asking A LOT of money when they sell their films. They're taking a big check and don't have to spend any money on the territorie...

Re: Trailer: Trap
The father obviously is the killer, from the last part of the trailer, right ? I mean I understand it that way. I hope it's not supposed to be a twist 75 minutes into the film but more likely at the end of the first act, or else...

Re: Trailer: Trap
I like the premise, and most of all I like seeing Hartnett as the lead, not because I'm a fan, but because it makes me feel like I'm 20 again

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Standings (up until April 14) Two more weeks to go, gents! At this point, the only remaining question mark lies over the 4th place, which Banks just grabbed from Walleye, but Walleye can count on Abigail to bring him some cash to counterattack. Will it be enough ? The rest of our standings seem pre...

Re: 2024 Festivals/Awards Thread
That's a solid and intriguing enough line-up so far. Curious to see what will appear at the Director's Fortnight and Critic's Week too.

Man, Six, you need to become the next big Hollywood producer, have your own Hollywood hills house and invite us all.

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Standings (up until April 7) If the bigger suspense at this point of our standings lies in “who’s gonna end up last” between myself and Six, as now only 12 million dollars separate us, there is movement somewhere else, as Banks’ rising continues. He just passed by Shrykemi to enter the Top 5, and i...

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
I'm definitely much less informed in Hollywood movies and what's going on than I was before, but I'll always be up for this game nonetheless.

Re: 2023-24 Full Year Slates - The Shryke Draft
Standings (up until March 31) Tranny’s killing the competition, with more than half a billion advance on Spectre’s 2nd place. I’ll check when’s the last time there was such a gap between 1st and 2nd place, if there ever was. Shryke and Banks are the ones moving the fastest behind him, and are closi...

Apparently On the Adamant made $6,371 on 1 screen.
